For fixed installations in hazardous locations petrochemical plants, fuel storage facilities, paint booths, grain handling, and anywhere classified for flammable vapors or combustible dust the Coxreels HP1125-5-250-EA combines explosion-proof 115V AC motor retraction with the HP1125 Series 4500 PSI pressure rating. The explosion-proof 1/2 HP motor (an AC motor built to contain any internal ignition and prevent spark propagation to the surrounding atmosphere required by electrical code in NEC Class I and Class II hazardous locations where flammable vapors or combustible dust are present) runs from standard facility 115V AC power with no need for a vehicle battery or shop air supply. The drum holds 250 feet of 3/4-inch I.D. hose at up to 4500 PSI and 250°F, rated for hydraulic fluid, compressed air, water, and oil service. The electroless nickel plated steel swivel with AFLAS seals (a fluoroelastomer compound that resists hydraulic oil, fuel, and aggressive chemical exposure beyond the limits of standard nitrile) completes the high-pressure, hazardous-environment package. Built on the CNC robotically welded 12-gauge steel "A" frame common to the entire 1125 family.
