For service vehicles that operate in or near classified hazardous locations and need large-bore 1-inch hose retraction from a 12V battery fuel delivery trucks, petrochemical field service units, lube trucks working near fuel transfer areas, and grain elevator maintenance vehicles the Coxreels 1125-6-35-ED combines explosion-proof 12V DC motor retraction with a compact 1-inch bore drum. The explosion-proof 1/2 HP 12V DC motor (built to NEC standards to contain any internal arc or spark within the motor housing, preventing ignition in Class I flammable vapor and Class II combustible dust environments) wires directly to a standard 12V vehicle battery with no 115V AC outlet or shop air supply required. The drum holds 35 feet of 1-inch I.D. hose at up to 3,000 PSI and 250°F for compressed air, water, and oil service. As standard on all 1125 Series 1-inch models, the swivel is nickel plated steel with AFLAS seals a fluoroelastomer compound providing better chemical resistance than the nitrile seals used on smaller bore models in the same series. Built on the CNC robotically welded 12-gauge steel "A" frame common to the 1125 family.

  A: Both are explosion-proof and rated for NEC classified hazardous locations. The -ED runs on 12V DC vehicle battery power the right choice for service trucks and mobile units where no AC outlet is available. The -EA runs on facility 115V AC suited to fixed plant installations with AC panel access. Choose based on your power source at the installation point.
• Q: What is the difference between the 1125-6-35-ED and the 1125-6-35-E?
  A: Both are 12V DC motors, but the -ED is explosion-proof and rated for NEC classified hazardous locations; the -E is a standard motor not approved for use in those environments. The -ED also uses a 1/2 HP motor vs the -E's 1/3 HP, delivering more retraction torque for 1-inch hose. If your installation is in a classified area, the -E is not permitted regardless of voltage.
• Q: Does this reel come with hose?
  A: No sold less hose. The drum holds up to 35 feet of 1-inch I.D. (1-7/16-inch O.D. max) hose, or up to 50 feet of 3/4-inch I.D. hose with a reducer.
