Sioux 77400 Heavy Duty Double Tapered Collet forms a collar around an object to be held and exerts a strong clamping force on the object. Collet is usually used to hold a workpiece or a tool in a central position as it rotates. When the tool is inserted into the collet, the device expands and applies uniform pressure to keep the tool in place. Sioux 77400 Collet is most often used in routers to hold the cutting bits in place. It is helpful in woodworking and metalworking since it is used in many other Sioux equipment.
