Description

Built for deburring, die and mold cleanup, and mounted-wheel finishing, the Dotco 10L2080-36 inline grinder pairs a compact straight-body layout with 0.6 HP (0.45 kW) power and 25,000 RPM free speed for controlled material removal on metal edges, contours, and toolroom details. The inline configuration keeps the abrasive in line with the tool body, helping the user guide carbide burrs and mounted wheels with steady hand control.

This 10-20 Series model uses a 1/4" collet and 300 Series collet guard for common industrial burr and mounted point setups, with abrasive capacity listed for a 3/4" carbide burr or 1.5" mounted wheel. The rear exhaust layout helps route exhaust away from the front of the tool, while the aluminum housing keeps the tool weight to 1.3 lb / 0.59 kg for extended bench, fixture, and repair work.

FAQs:

  • Q: What does the 300 Series collet guard mean on the 10L2080-36?
A: The -36 termination identifies this model as the 300 Series collet guard version. It still uses a 1/4" collet, but the guard configuration differs from the -01 version that uses the 200 Series collet setup.
  • Q: Can this grinder run 1/4" shank carbide burrs?
A: Yes, this model has a 1/4" collet and the listed abrasive capacity includes a 3/4" carbide burr. Always confirm that the burr shank fits securely and that the accessory speed rating equals or exceeds 25,000 RPM.
  • Q: What air setup does this Dotco inline grinder require?
A: The manufacturer rates tool performance at 90 PSI / 620 kPa and lists a minimum hose I.D. of 5/16" / 7.9 mm. A properly sized air supply helps the grinder maintain speed under load.
  • Q: Does this tool include a carbide burr or mounted wheel?
A: The catalog lists the applicable collet and collet wrenches as standard equipment. Carbide burrs, mounted wheels, and other abrasive accessories are not listed as included.
  • Q: Why choose rear exhaust on an inline grinder?
A: Rear exhaust helps direct exhaust air away from the front of the tool and work area. On this series, rear exhaust models are also OH Overhose Ready for added noise suppression with compatible overhose equipment.
