4-1/2" Fiber Discs
Fiber discs are the most prime forms of abrasive, grinding and finishing product designs. When selecting a 4-1/2 in fiber disc you want to ensure you are using the appropriate abrasive fiber disc for the type of material you are working with. The 4-1/2 inch fiber sanding discs are designed to efficiently remove paint, scale, rust, corrosion and prepare surfaces for repair and refinishing. These versatile 4-1/2" abrasive discs are suitable for a variety of materials including types of metals and wood. The self-sharpening grains continually produce fresh cutting points, reducing friction and prolonging cut rates. Additional grinding aid further reduces heat, and extends disc life. Best for flat surfaces with minimal contours, resin fiber sanding discs can provide the most aggressive and heavy stock removal of all coated abrasives. The substantial surface area minimizes time taken to finish large areas. Manufactured using premium materials these resin fiber sanding discs last 50% to 200% longer on steel and stainless steel than other grains. These Resin Sanding discs or fiber polishing discs feature a center hole for arbor attachment and a resin-bonded fiber backing for durability.
