With a 4" stroke and a robust 1.63" bore, this tamper delivers a high-frequency 1,550 blows per minute (BPM) for aggressive and uniform compaction of soil, gravel, sand, and other granular materials around trenches, foundations, utility lines and other confined spaces. Designed for heavy-duty field performance, the 341A2M features a durable plated piston, dual-action sand wiper seals, and a built-in lubricator and muffler to extend service life and reduce wear from grit and dirt. The side exhaust helps keep the workspace cleaner and more comfortable for operators during extended use. This backfill tamper comes with a 5-3/4" round malleable butt and connects easily to standard compressed air systems via a 3/8" NPT inlet, with a minimum recommended hose size of 1/2" to support efficient air delivery. Its long overall length (~52.75") enables operators to work from a comfortable standing position, reducing fatigue and improving productivity on long shifts.
