Description

The Chicago Pneumatic CPWE D04N is a single-phase (1ph) submersible pump designed to optimize fluid transfer based on established hydraulic and electrical engineering principles. The pump's performance is encapsulated by its Max. Head of 39.4 ft, representing its highest pressure capability at zero flow, and its Max. Flow of 67.6 US gpm, indicating its maximum volumetric transfer rate under zero resistance. Its 2" discharge connection manages the outflow. At the same time, a critical design feature is its ability to handle solids up to 0.3", making it suitable for standard dewatering applications where water may contain small particulates and debris.

The pump’s mechanical work capacity is provided by its motor, which has a Rated Output of 0.5 hp. This mechanical power is generated from an electrical motor with a power Input of 0.65 kW. The 0.5 hp output is the crucial factor determining the pump’s ability to move the fluid mass against the resistance of the piping and elevation. Portability and Submersibility: With a light weight of 20.0 lbs and compact dimensions (7.2" diameter), the pump is easily handled and is designed to operate fully submerged in the fluid, using the surrounding water for cooling.

Type: Submersible Pump | Discharge (in.): 2 | Diameter (in.): 7.2 | Max Head (ft.): 39.4 | Height (in.): 13.4 | Width (in.): 8.3 | Application: Water Transfer, Flood Control

Features:

  • Compact Design: Lightweight and portable, weighing approximately 20 lbs (9 kg), making it easy to transport and handle
  • High Performance: Delivers a maximum flow rate of 67.6 US gallons per minute (15 m³/h) and a maximum head of 39.4 feet (12 meters), suitable for various dewatering tasks
  • Solid Handling Capability: Designed to handle solids up to 0.3 inches (7.5 mm), making it ideal for draining water with small debris
  • Durable Construction: Built with corrosion-resistant materials to ensure longevity and reliability in harsh environments
  • Thermal Protection: Equipped with thermal switches to prevent overheating, enhancing the pump's safety and durability
  • Versatile Applications: Suitable for general dewatering, construction sites, mining operations, and tunneling projects

APPLICATIONS:

  • General Site Dewatering: Pumping water out of trenches, ditches, foundation excavations, and manholes at construction sites
  • Sump Drainage: Permanent or temporary drainage of collected rainwater or wastewater from sumps in basements, crawl spaces, or utility tunnels
  • Flood Control: Removing water from flooded areas, basements, or garages during high rainfall events
  • Utility Work: Clearing water accumulation during maintenance or repair of underground utility vaults, cables, and piping
  • Water Transfer: Moving large volumes of water between tanks, ponds, or reservoirs where high lift (head) is necessary
