Carbide burs for work on edges are mainly used in steel and aluminum construction, and have been specifically designed for chamfering, deburring, and rounding of edges. The 25176 is EDGE ALU 30°. This Cone Counterbore EDGE cut bur comes with Shank diameter of 1/4", Bur diameter of 5/8" and Bur length of .040". PFERD offers burs for both flexible as well as for defined work on edges, including EDGE ALU designed with ALU cut for use on aluminum. Cone counterbore bur for the production of precisely defined chamfers. Suitable for counterboring and chamfering of defined 45° chamfer angles. The chamfers created using the EDGE Cutting System (ECS) are .047” (+/- .007”) wide.

Applications include: Chamfering, Deburring, Milling, Rounding and Work on edges etc. PFERD Cone counterbore EDGE Burs are compatible with flexible shaft drive, straight grinder, robot applications, stationary machines, machine tools and more.

Cone counterbore EDGE Cut burs work on various material including: Brass, Bronze, Cast iron, Annealed cast iron, Black cast iron (GTS, GJMB), Grey/nodular cast iron (GG/GJL, GGG/GJS), White annealed cast iron (GTW, GJMW), Cobalt-based alloys, Copper, Fibre-reinforced duroplastics (GRP, CRP), High-temperature-resistant materials, Nickel-based alloys (e. g. Inconell and Hasteloy), Plastics, Steel, Case-hardened steels, Cast steel, Hardened - heat-treated steels, Hard non-ferrous metal, Soft non-ferrous metal, Other non-ferrous metals, Thermoplastics, Titanium, Titanium alloys, Tool steels and Zinc.
