The Ultimate FX FF-400 is the only respirator with Scotchgard Protector, designed for optimal comfort, durability, and visibility. This respirator is made of soft yet durable silicone and has a big glass for better peripheral vision. The Scotchgard-protected lens of the 3M FF-403 Full Facepiece Reusable Respirator helps give protection against certain airborne contaminants while keeping your vision clear. Paints, stains, and other liquids may be wiped off the big lens thanks to Scotchgard protection. Made to use with 3M particulate filters, gas/vapor cartridges, and provided air systems for versatility, the 3M Cool Flow Valve facilitates breathing on these respirators. The passive speaking diaphragm improves communication by allowing you to be heard when you speak. These characteristics work together to make long-term usage of the facepiece more pleasant and practical, while also helping to guard against some airborne toxins. A head cradle to eliminate pressure points and hair tugging, a soft silicone nose cup and faceseal to cushion heavy contact areas, bonded silicone gaskets to prevent loose gaskets from becoming lost, and attachments that simply twist on and off have all been included into the facepiece. The facepiece is held securely in place by six straps that wrap snugly around the head, avoiding moving that can be distracting on the job and necessitate frequent readjustment. The straps are highly durable, having been tested with over one million pulls. Assembly, chemical clean-up, chemical handling, chemical splash, chipping, chiseling, cleaning, furnace operations, grinding, labs, machining, masonry, painting, pouring/casting, sanding, sawing, and welding are among the recommended applications. Agriculture, construction, general manufacturing, medicines, and primary metals are among the industries that typically use this facepiece. NIOSH, a federal government regulatory agency, has examined and approved the FF-400 with 3M cartridges, filters, or provided air systems to help minimize breathing certain airborne pollutants. The FF-400 Series facepiece also meets ANSI Z impact criteria.
