Apex 1/4" hex drive bit holders are for use in power tools with a 1/4" female hex chuck. Using a bit holder instead of a power bit bit eliminates the waste associated with throwing away the entire power bit, shank and all. With a bit holder, you simply remove the worn out bit and place a new one in the tip of the holder. They are available in a variety of lengths and are offered magnetic or non magnetic.
